The Parkway Animal Hospital staff treats your pet like "one of the family". As all staff members are pet owners themselves, they know how important your pet's health care is to you. Below is a photo and short biography of each of our staff members.

 Dr. Joel Nelson is both the owner and a veterinarian at Parkway Animal Hospital. He grew up in a small farming and ranching community in the Texas Panhandle. He obtained his B.S. from Texas A&M University in 1991 and his D.V.M. from Oklahoma State University in 1995. He has two children and Allison and him have been married for 13 years in May 2008. Dr. Nelson practiced at Parkway Animal Hospital for 2 years prior to purchasing it from Dr. Joe Cannon in 1999. Dr. Nelson specializes in small animal and exotic veterinary medicine. He is a member of TVMA, AVMA, TAVP, ACVMA, served on the Grand Prairie Animal Advisory Board. He has a number of pets including: 3 dogs, 4 cats, one hamster and lots of fresh water fish. |
